Bangalore, Nov 20: Infosys BPO, the business process outsourcing subsidiary of Infosys Technologies, has been awarded the Provider of the Year award by FAO Today Magazine at a Conference hosted jointly by FAO Today and the Hackett Group at Atlanta.
The first-annual event held on November 15 brought together the Finance and Procurement Industry's best and brightest for recognition of outstanding performance, according to a release from Infosys BPO.
Award winners have been selected by a jury of nominees from the US Dollar 39 billion Finance and Administrative Outsourcing industry. Infosys BPO won the award over 11 other service providers.

This, coupled with process excellence and our transformational approach, reinforces our leadership position in the fast growing FAO segment. This recognition validates our strategy and the significant investments we have made in our F and A practice to add measurable business value to our clients,'' according to Mr Amitabh Chaudhry, CEO and Managing Director of Infosys BPO Limited.
This award was especially significant after Infosys BPO won the landmark US Dollar 250 Million Philips deal in July 2007, which further enhanced its capabilities and positioned it as one of the global leaders in the FAO segment.
