Written test for Satara Military School on Jan 6

Mumbai, Nov 17 (UNI) Written test for admissions to class VIth and IXth in the Satara Military School for the 2008-09 academic session will be conducted on January 6 next year. It was officially stated here today.

The total intake for VIth standard will be 50, while intake for XIth standard will be 10. Written test for admission to XIth standard will be held only in English language, the statement clarified.

According to the official statement, candidates seeking admission in VIth standard (only boys as girls are not allowed admission in military schools) should be 10 years in age as on July 1, 2007 and should have successfully passed Vth standard examination.

Similarly, candidates seeking admission in IXth standard should be 12 years in age as on July 1, 2007 and should have successfully passed VIIth standard exam.

The admission form along with information brochure and sample question paper could be obtained from the Principal, Military School, Satara, either by post or in person. Admission forms along with necessasry documents should be submitted by December 10, the statement said.

Gaur rules out change of guard in MP

Gaur's family involved in dumper business

Gwalior, MP, Nov 17 (UNI) Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Babulal Gaur today admitted that his family was also involved in dumper business. ''Jansuvidha Enterprises belonged to my son and daughter-in-law. Both managed hotel and transport business. After my son's demise, the business is being managed by my daughter-in-law,'' said Mr Gaur, while replying to question by reporters whether their dumpers had been also engaged by J P Industries. However, he did not disclose how many dumpers he owned.....

PDP to set up Karnataka committee within 2 months

Mangalore, Nov 17 (UNI) PDP Chairman Abdul Nasir Madani, who is on a statewide tour in Karnataka to strengthen the party, today said the State level Committee of the party would be constituted within two months. Talking to newspersons at Ganjimata near Bajpe, Mr Madani on his way to Kasargod in Kerala, said the campaign for strengthening his party would be intensified after returning from Haj tour. He said the party would also hold a national level Social Justice Conference.....
