Volvo launches Wheel Loaders

Bangalore, Nov 17: Volvo Construction Equipment today launched new series of Wheel Loaders and PT220 RH Pneumatic Tire Roller at Excon-2007 here.

Volvo Construction Equipment President Eberhard Wedekind said ''the Indian market has accepted our equipment and the encouraging response from the sub-continent has forced us to launch our latest series of Wheel Loaders in India.'' Company President and CEO (Road Machinery Business Line) Pat Olney said ''the PT220 machine is designed to suit the needs of the Indian roads.'' ''This is for the first time in the world that the Volvo is launching its road machinery. The acquisition has helped us expand and become an expert in catering to the customers need, '' he added.

Bangalore, June 22: The Body Building plant of Volvo India, the leading heavy truck and bus manufacturer, will be ready by December, Company Managing Director Eric Leblanc said today. Volvo inks Rs 80 cr JV with Jaico for buses

New Delhi, Jan 13: Volvo Bus Corporation said it will enter into a joint venture with Jaico Automobiles to set up the Volvo Bus Body Technologies India Pvt Ltd (VBT) at an initial investment of Rs 80 crores. The new company, headquartered in Bangalore will be the new face of Volvo Buses in India and will undertake selling of complete Volvo bus unit including bus-body manufacturing at its new facility.
