Kullu, Nov 17: An elderly couple were allegedly murdered by their servant in their house at Dhobi near here yesterday, district SP GD Bhargava today said.
Sonam Dolma and Raju were found murdered in their house by their son Tejin yesterday after he was served dinner mixed with drugs by their servant, who had been identified as Karma from Nepal, he said.
Mr Bhargava said Tejin, who was locked in his house, raised an alarm following which the neighbourers unbolted his room and found the bodies of his parents.
The servant, employed only a month ago, was missing after the incident and the SP said efforts were on to arrest him. He said all the district police posts had been informed after the murder and the culprit would soon be arrested.
A case had been registered under section 302 of the IPC and investigations were on, Mr Bhargava added.
