At the launch event held at Esselworld, on children's day, EIL awarded scholarships to over 40 girls studying in primary and higher secondary schools in the area. Many of these girls are first generation learners from marginalized families.
Speaking to reporters here, Nilesh Mistry, vice president (Corporate affairs) EIL, said, ''Essel Group has always taken the initiative in development of this region through Esselworld and Water Kingdom. As part of our long term commitment, we feel that education of girls is a top priority in the development of this region. Our vision is to empower over 1000 students in next one year and many more in the next 5 years.'' UNI
