Bangalore, Nov 6: World renowned retail Guru John Williams will be in India to address the Indian retail sector on the existing retail scenario and steps to thrive in global retail scene.
Revealing this to newspersons here RAMMS, India's leading end-to-end retail consultancy provider, President R Kannan said he would address the gathering at Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore on November 19, 21 and 23, respectively. Keeping in view the role of Wal Mart in India, he would focus his lecture on the new initiative of 'Private Branding: The New Power in Retail'.
He said with the rapid growth in the retail industry and leading global retailers looking towards India, the seminar series would play a vital role in assisting Indian retailers, brand manufacturers and professionals associated with the sector to gain knowledge and prepare themselves for the contemporary scenario. There would also be separate specific sessions on private branding to select companies, he added.
To a question, he said the Indian sector was the second largest employer after the Railways.
