NDTV enters Singapore on SingTel's mio TV

Mumbai, Nov 1: India's media and broadcast major New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) has announced its entry into the Singapore broadcast market on the SingTel's mio TV platform.

NDTV's English news channel 'NDTV 24x7' and its business news channel 'NDTV Profit' will be available on mio TV, NDTV, said in a statement.

New Delhi, Oct 17: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today came out with its recommendations on Headend-In-The-Sky (HITS) service, which is a satellite based platform for delivering multi channel television signals to cable operators across the country. The aim of the measures is digitalisation of cable TV network. HITS is capable of delivering TV signals in digital form with addressability features.
