Five injured after being hit by Blueline

New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) In yet another accident involving blueline, five people were injured when a bus rammed into a footpath in Okhla police station area of South Delhi this afternoon, police said.

At about 1430 hours, a Blueline bus operating on route number 479 between Ambedkar Nagar and Anand Vihar rammed into a footpath near the Mathura Road-Modi Nagar flyover, hitting four people waiting for a bus, police said.

The five included three students of class ninth at the Government senior secondary school in Sarojini Nagar. While two people sustained only minor injuries in the accident, three others, including two school children, were admitted to the Apollo Hospital, police said.

The Blueline driver, however, fled the spot.

In yet another accident, a 40-year-old was killed after being hit by a tempo on the Boulevard road in North Delhi.

The man was taken to the trauma centre where he was declared brought dead, police said.

The tempo driver fled the spot, they said.
