Jagran Prakashan Q2 net up 25.47%

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) Jagran Prakashan Ltd, publishers of 'Dainik Jagran', today said its net profit increased by 25.47 per cent at at Rs 22 crore for the quarter ended Septemeber 30, as against Rs 17.54 crore in the same period a year ago.

The company reported net operating revenues of Rs 177.17 crore for Q2FY08, an increase of 23.40 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous year, a company statement said.

''We expect significant contributions from our various non-publishing initiatives in top as well as bottom line in times to come with growth momentum remaining intact in publishing business in future,'' company's CMD Mahendra Mohan Gupta said.

Sobha Developers Ltd Q2 net up 51.4%

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) Bangalore-based Sobha Developers Ltd (SDL) today said it has posted a net profit of Rs 56.18 crore for the quarter ended September 30, an increase of 51.4 per cent, as compared to Rs 37.09 crore for the same period a year ago. Total Income of the company increased by two per cent to Rs 333.01 crore for the quarter ended September 30, as against Rs 326.24 crore for the same period in 2006, a company statement.....

2 suspended in hostel fire accident

Korba, Chhattisgarh, Oct 29 (UNI) The superintendent and cook of a tribal girls residential school have been suspended in connection with death of four girls who were burnt alive due to gas leak at the hostel kitchen. DGFT issues 'Special Import License' to Refex

Chennai, Oct 29 (UNI) Refex Refrigerants Ltd, the city-based leading refrigerants management solutions provider, has got a Special Import License from the Director General of Foreign Trade(DGFT). A Company release here today said the license would enable the Company to import 2,000 MT of HCFC based Refrigerants. The license also makes Refex one of the first importer of HCFC into India where the demand of HCFC was at its peak. Refex Managing Director Anil Jain said ''import of these Refrigerants.....
