Western Railway won railway volleyball championship

Kapurthala, Oct 26 (UNI) Western Railway won the 30th All India Railway Women Volleyball championship, which concluded at the Rail Coach Factory here yesterday, Western Railway won the championship by defeating Central Railway by 3-0 (25-19,25-20,25-21). Southern Railway secured the third position defeating Eastern Railway by 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 27-29, 25-14, 15-12).

RCF General Manager S K Suri gave away the prizes to the winners.

Ahmedabad, Oct 26 (UNI) Riding on brilliant knocks by opener Gautam Gambhir (73) and an unbeaten 82 by middle order batsman S Badrinath, India-Red set a huge target of 304 runs for India-Green in the second day-night match of the NPK Salve Challenger Trophy at the Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium at Motera this evening. Gambhir drew the attention of BCCI's selection team led by Dilip Vengsarkar, who were present in the stadium, by maling an enterprising 73 in just 74 balls.....
