New look Dhoni returns home

Ranchi, Oct. 25, 2007 : Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was warmly greeted on Wednesday on his arrival at Ranchi for the first time after leading India to victory in the Twenty20 World Cup.

Scores of locals gathered outside to catch a glimpse of their hero. Meanwhile, the premier domestic limited overs tournament, Challenger Trophy, begins in Motera today with the spotlight on fringe players who get another chance to impress selectors before announcement of squad for the home series against Pakistan.

Ranchi, Jul 21: Negating the corruption charges levelled by Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Sudhir Mahto, DVC chairman Ashim Kumar Burman said the charges were based on misinformation. Talking to sources here yesterday, Mr Burman said the deputy chief minister was not aware about the facts regarding installation of new power plants and scrap of the deal against which he demanded CBI inquiry. Jharkhand: Cancer hospital in Ranchi by early 2008

Ranchi, Aug 28: With an aim to provide better medical facility for cancer treatment, city-based Sayed Ansari Consultancy(SAC) hospital management and consultancy services, in collaboration with Banglore-based HCG Limited, would open a cancer institute here by Janauary next year. The hospital being built at Irba here would have the facilities of 6/15 MVE with IGMRT and latest treatment technologies. The SAC group has tied-up with a UK-based healthcare service provider, AOC International to provide advance and high end training for the doctors.....

HEC manufactures new heavy duty model

Ranchi, Aug 18: A Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC) unit Heavy Machine Tools Plant (HMTP) has manufactured heavy duty central lathe model for facing and turning operations on any heavy work piece with maximum diameter of 1000mm, length 12000mm and weight 15000 kgs. According to a company release issued here today the machine LC125HD would meet the manufacturing requierment of critical and strategic and items required by the Ministry of Defence(MoD). HMTP being the only original manufacturer has bagged the order on.....
