Indians holidaying abroad set to double

New Delhi, Oct 26, 2007 : According to a study by a leading business and market intelligence provider 'Euromonitor International', the number of tourists traveling from India will more than double by 2011, and the number is likely to touch the 16.3 million mark.

This rise in the number of Indians traveling abroad is being driven by rising disposable incomes, more affordable holiday options and cheaper air travel.

New Delhi, Aug 29: Willing to go places, literally, and having the required money in their pockets, Indians are going to spend on their travel abroad as never before.In the next 12 months, on an average, they will spend between 26 per cent to 50 per cent more than they had in the past, according to the MasterIndex of Consumer Lifestyles Survey, which involved 3,249 people in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Brit doctor fired due to drinking problems finds work abroad

London, Jan 23 (ANI): A consultant surgeon, who had been laid off work because of drink problems, has now found work abroad.Dr Ramasankerpersad Jairam, who drank up to three bottles of vodka a day, has even admitted to drinking at work, and at times not knowing who he was, reports the Sun.Cleaners at the hospital would find empty bottles in the orthopaedic surgeon's quarters every day, and he was suspended for a year by Coventry's Walsgrave Hospital and.....
