IT cos look beyond Indian shores


New Delhi, Oct 25, 2007 : Call it reverse outsourcing or localizing globally, varied accents and foreign faces are fast becoming the norm at Indian BPOs abroad.

With wages on a rise companies like Wipro are saying it is absolutely essential to have centers outside India. Wipro has just established a centre in Atlanta with 500 people and says that in the coming days 30 per cent of its entire workforce will be global.

Wipro aiming to secure business form Nordic

Helsinki, July 2: India's number three software services exporter, Wipro Ltd. , is aiming to secure a bigger slice of business from Nordic telecom operators when they outsource IT operations, a senior Wipro executive said.
