Three killed, 10 injured in accident

Chennai, Oct 26 (UNI) Three people were killed and ten others injured when their bus dashed against a stationary truck near Guduvancherry in the city outskirts this morning.

Police said the express bus was going to Chennai from Arupukottai when the accident occurred at around 0630 hrs.

The wooden log trailer attached laden truck coming from Villupuram broke down and was parked at the roadside.

The conductor of the bus was among those injured and admitted to the Government Hospital at Chengalpattu.

Police arrested the driver of the bus and investigation was underway.

Kohima, Oct 26: The strength of the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) coalition has reduced to 36 from the 60-member Assembly following the withdrawal of support by JD(U) legislator Deo Nukhu. Recently, the Assembly had reduced to 56 following the resignation of four Nagaland Peoples' Front (NPF) legislators.
