Teenage girl raped, murdered

Gulbarga, Oct 26: In a gruesome incident, a teenage girl was raped and murdered at Valakandi village in Bidar district today.

Police said some unidentified persons raped the girl and strangulated her to death yesterday.

The semi-naked body of the girl was found abandoned on a road.

The police suspects that the girl, belonging to Gulbarga city, was brought here by the culprits.

Superintendent of Police Balusubramaniam and DSP P A Korwal visited the spot to take stock of the incident.

The body had been sent for post-mortem, the police added.

Moscow, Feb 27: Russia's Organised Crime Bureau said they foiled a terrorist attack here when they arrested Farid Magomedov with an explosive device at a bus stop in the north-west of the city on last Thursday.Investigators told Russian news agencies yesterday that Magomedov from Daghestan, a Russian republic in the North Caucasus near Chechnya, was responsible for the production of explosives used in terrorist attacks in the republic.
