Raids held to divert people's attention: Reddy

Gulbarga, Oct 26 (UNI) BJP MLC Janardhan Reddy alleged that the IT raids held in various places here today was aimed at diverting people's attention from the issue of JD(S) denying power transfer to BJP in the State.

''The raids are to divert the attention of the people as the Congress and JD(S) are trying to form Government in the State again,'' he alleged.

Claiming that he was maintaining transparency in the transactions and all his income was official and clear, Mr Reddy said that he was ready to face such raids.

''Today's raid would not have any impact on BJP's prospects in the State'', he added.

TEHRAN, Oct 26 (Reuters) New US sanctions could push Tehran to rethink its cooperation with the United Nations atomic watchdog, Iran's former chief nuclear negotiator said today. Ali Larijani was speaking a day after Washington branded Iran's Revolutionary Guards a proliferator of weapons of mass destruction and imposed new sanctions on the country, which it accuses of trying to develop atomic weapons.
