Raids held to divert people's attention: Reddy

Gulbarga, Oct 26 (UNI) BJP MLC Janardhan Reddy alleged that the IT raids held in various places here today was aimed at diverting people's attention from the issue of JD(S) denying power transfer to BJP in the State.

''The raids are to divert the attention of the people as the Congress and JD(S) are trying to form Government in the State again,'' he alleged.

Claiming that he was maintaining transparency in the transactions and all his income was official and clear, Mr Reddy said that he was ready to face such raids.

''Today's raid would not have any impact on BJP's prospects in the State'', he added.

Simultaneous IT raids on offices, homes of mine owners

Bellary, Karnataka, Oct 26 (UNI) A large contingent of Income Tax Department officials, backed by the police, conducted simultaneous raids on offices, homes and mines belonging to a number of mine owners in Bellary, Sandur and Hospet here today.
