Old hoardings of Modi removed by EC official

Vadodara, Oct 26 (UNI) Over 1,682 old hoardings/posters, put up by the BJP in the city two years ago glorifying the achievements of Chief Minister Narendra Modi, have been removed in the last four days on orders of Election Commission official C J Patel.

These were removed from offices of District Development Officer, within the premises of State Transport building, Vadodara municipal corporation, zilla panchayat and guest houses, among others.

The cutouts and banners displayed the state chief minister's achievements.

London, Oct 26 (UNI) An alarming prediction coming from an evolutionary theorist has revealed that human race will reach its peak by 3000 after which it will split into two separate species. Blair to write memoirs of life in Downing Street

London, Oct 26 (UNI) Former British prime minister Tony Blair has signed a five million pound deal to pen his memoirs of life in Downing Street. Those close to the British leader say the book will be ''frank but not disloyal''. Mr Blair signed the deal with the publisher Random House, it was announced last night, although it is understood that his account of his 10 years as prime minister is unlikely to appear for two years. JD(S) heading for split in Karnataka: Dharam Singh

Bangalore, Oct 26 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh today said that JD (S) seems to be heading for a split following the efforts by former Home Minister M P Prakash to form a new coalition government with the help of Congress. Mr Singh told reporters here, that Mr Prakash had already submitted a list of JD(S) legislators supporting him to join hands with Congress and the matter is under consideration by the party High Command.
