No threat to DAN ministry:Shurhozelie

Kohima, Oct 26 (UNI) Nagaland Peoples' Front (NPF) president Shurhozelie today said there was no threat to the DAN government following the withdrawal of support by seven legistaors.

Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a function for the protection of wildlife in Nagaland, Mr Shurhozelie claimed that the NPF, leading coalition partner of the ruling DAN, has gained popularity for the development done by the NPF-led DAN government.

''We will fight all the sixty seats of the Assembly in the forthcoming elections,'' he added.

He said the number of NPF candidates were much more than that of the Congress, but the decision to select the candidates by the Election Committee of the party was still awaited.

No compromise on minimum wages for Indian maids : Ambassador

London Fashion week in jeopardy over models' health

London, Oct 26 (UNI) Seeking to bar ultra-skinny models from walking the ramp, the London Development Agency (LDA) has decided to halt funding for London Fashion Week if the British Fashion Council (BFC) does not implement recommendations of the independent Model Health Inquiry. The inquiry, launched in response to concerns over eating disorders, produced a raft of recommendations last month that aim to improve the health of models. Hearing on NEC Vision Document in Kohima

Kohima, Oct 26 (UNI) A one-day public hearing on 'Vision Document 2020' of the North Eastern Council (NEC) will be held at the Zonal Council Hall here on November five. In a release issued by Nagaland Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Lalthara here today NEC member P P Shrivastava would attend the meeting along with his officials.
