Jaybharat Textiles' profit jumps to Rs 15.03 crores

Mumbai, Oct 26 (UNI) Jaybharat Textiles and Real Estate posted a profit of Rs 15.03 crore, a jump of 175 per cent against Rs 5.45 crore for the corresponding period in the last fiscal.

The Company also reported an increase in net sales of 91.5 per cent at Rs 100.42 crore against Rs 52.43 for the previous fiscal, a company release stated.

Navi Mumbai, Oct 26 (UNI) Wholesale sugar prices recovered smartly today on sustained heavy bulk consumers demand coupled with lack of offers by stockists in view of larger arrival of stocks from co-operative mills, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said. Prices of small and medium grades (per quintal) rose by Rs ten and Rs 15 respectively due to better bulk consumers demand. Mumbai, Oct 26 (UNI) Engineering and contsruction major Larsen&Toubro Limited ( L&T) has registered a year on year (y-o-y) growth of 47 per cent in gross sales and service revenue at Rs 5574 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The share of revenue from international operations during the quarter constituted 17 per cent of the gross Revenue. Order inflow during the quarter at Rs 7547 crore grew by 26 per cent over the same period of the previous year.....

Violence in parts of Amritsar after killing of youth

Amritsar, Oct 26 (UNI) Violence erupted in parts of this holy city today as news spread about a youth being shot dead in Valmiki-dominated Lahori Gate area, by some car-borne people following an altercation last night . Angry mobs damaged and looted 50-odd shops and scores of vehicles in Hall Bazar, Katra Jaimal Singh, Hathi Gate any other localities under police station D-Division area. Bata India Q3 net rises 55.73% at Rs 9.50 cr

New Delhi, Oct 26 (UNI) Bata India Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 9.50 crore for the quarter ended September 2007, as compared to Rs 6.10 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, up by 55.73 per cent. The company recorded a turnover of Rs 206.6 crore in Q3FY07, a 15.7 per cent increase over the Rs 178.6 crore during Q3FY06.
