Gulbarga, Oct 26 (UNI) BJP MLC Janardhan Reddy alleged that the income tax raids on his assets in various places today was aimed at diverting people's attention from the JD(S) denying power transfer to BJP in Karnataka.

In his reaction to the raids by IT officials on his property in Bellary, Mr Reddy told newsmen at Shahapur, 70 km from here, that Congress and JD(S) have conspired in the raids following enormous sympathy which the BJP earned after the JD(S) denial.

''The raids was to divert the attention of the people as the Congress and JD(S) trying to form government in the state again", he alleged.

Claiming that he was maintaining transparency in the transactions and all his income was official and clear, Mr Reddy said that he was ready to face such raids.
