HC Orders on maintaining status quo

Kolhapur, Oct 26 (UNI) The Bombay high court has ordered to maintain Status quo on the appointment of Kolhapur Municipal Corporation's 380 daily wage workers.

Informing this to reporters here today, KMC Commissioner Kunal Kumar said the court has also directed the state government to conduct inquiry into KMC daily wage workers appointment through its Urban development department.

The KMC's Daily wage workers appointment process was challenged in the high court through a PIL filed by Sharad Mirashi, he added.

KMC employees had been agitating for the past 15 days in support of the daily wage earners.
