Four women run over and killed by train

Khagaria, Oct 26 (UNI) Four women were killed after being run over by a rail engine at Khagaria junction of Sonepur division under East Central Railway today.

Railway sources said four women were crushed to death by the engine when they were selling green vegetables on track-side near Khagaria junction.

The engine was on its way to Katihar from Barauni.

The deceased had not been identified as yet, sources added.

Three killed in road accidents in Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur, Oct 26 (UNI) Three people were killed in separate road accidents in the district since last night. According to police sources, two people were killed on the spot when a motorcycle they were riding collided head-on with a tractor-trailer near a tractor manufacturing company at Chack Gujran village, eight Km from here this afternoon. The deceased were identified as Jaspal Singh and Sadhu Ram. Their bodies were sent to the Civil Hospital, Hoshiarpur for postmortem. In another accident, one.....
