Four members of family commit suicide

Palakkad, Oct 26 (UNI) Four members of a family were found dead and another was taken to a local hospital in serious condition after they allegedly consumed poison at Kalpathi in this district of Kerala today.

Police said the deceased were identified as Prasanth Kumar(34), his wife Lekha(30) and children Durgesh(12) and Binu(nine). Their daughter Dhanu(5) was admitted to the District Hospital in a serious condition.

Prasanth was working with a private finance company and financial problems were said to be the reason for the extreme step.

Three killed, 10 injured in accident

Chennai, Oct 26 (UNI) Three people were killed and ten others injured when their bus dashed against a stationary truck near Guduvancherry in the city outskirts this morning. Police said the express bus was going to Chennai from Arupukottai when the accident occurred at around 0630 hrs. Federal Bank Q2 net up 37.2 pc at Rs 95.33 crore

New Delhi, Oct 26: Federal Bank today said the company's net profit rose by 37.2 per cent to Rs 95.33 crore for the quarter ended September 30, as compared to Rs 69.46 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.
