Call money opens high at 6.10 pc

Mumbai, Oct 26 (UNI) Inter Bank Call money rates today opened slightly high at 6.10 per cent compared to its previous close of 6.00 per cent on increased fresh demand from bankers in wake of lesser funds in the market.

During intra-day, call rates fluctuated between 6.05 and 6.20 per cent, dealers said.

The rates have been hovering in the range of 6.00-6.10 per cent in the past few weeks and are likely to remain at this level in the near future, dealers added.

Diana was alive after the crash, says witness

London, Oct 26 (UNI) Princess Diana cried ''Oh my God, oh my God'', as she lay in the smoking wreckage of the car, according to one of the first witnesses to reach the crash site in the Paris tunnel, the inquest into her death heard. The evidence contradicts earlier suggestions that the Princess was never conscious enough to speak after the crash. Damian Dalby, a volunteer fireman travelling to Paris with his brother and friends, told the High Court here through.....

Anil Ambani to open BPO in Madhya Pradesh

Indore, Oct 26: Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group(ADAG) is planning to invest in business process outsourcing(BPO) sector in Madhya Pradesh, besides an institute of information technology named after Reliance founder late Dhirubhai Ambani. MPHRC opposes export of limestone in Meghalaya

Shillong, Oct 26: The Meghalaya People's Human Rights Council (MPHRC) has opposed the export of limestone by Lafarge from Shella village in Meghalaya to Bangladesh. In a statement issued here today, MPHRC Secretary General Dino Dympep alleged that cement giant Lafarge had been involved in illegal mortgage of indigenous people's land and violation of environmental norms set by the Centre. Earlier, the Supreme Court had ordered a temporary halt to operations of Lafarge's limestone extraction plant in the state for flouting.....
