Call money closes lower at 6.00 pc

Mumbai, Oct 26 (UNI) Interbank call money prices today closed slightly lower at 6.00 per cent as against the previous day's close of 6.10 per cent on lack of fresh buying support from local bankers, in the face of huge funds in the market.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), through one-day reverse repo, received 22 bids worth Rs 31,675 crore at fixed rate of six per cent today.

According to market watchers, call rates are likely to maintain steady level at six per cent due to thin demand from lenders, dealers added.

FM favours steps to moderate capital flows
