Bonus for CITCO employees

Chandigarh, Oct 26 (UNI) The Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO) has announced a bonus of Rs 11,500 for its employees as a Diwali gift in recognition of their services.

The CITCO has showed a record profit of Rs 16.6 crores during 2006-07, surpassing all its previous performances. It also showed an increase in the turnover to Rs 290 crores from Rs 273 crores in 2005-2006.

The Board of Directors under the Chairmanship of Home Secretary Krishna Mohan, applauded the efforts made by all employees of CITCO in improving the financial parameters of the corporation.

The Board announced a bonanza for CITCO employees as bonus of Rs 11500/-as a Diwali gift in recognition of their services, which was the highest given by corporation ever since its inception in 1974.

The Board approved dividend of over Rs 45 lakh which was also the highest ever paid by CITCO to Chandigarh Administration.

Managing Director Jasbir Singh Bir said that CITCO in the current financial year continued to tread along the path of growth. He said that CITCO had taken a major drive to upgrade the infrastructure in all its hotels.

Recently, Hotel Mountview has qualified for International Standards Certification (ISO 9001/ISO 14001) and will become the first hotel in Chandigarh to have bench mark of Standard Operating Parameters for better management and providing high value of services to its esteemed clientele.

Japan stocks set to open higher led by Sony

Tokyo, Oct 26: Japanese stocks are seen opening higher on Friday led by Sony Corp after it reported solid earnings.
