BJP Election Management Committee to meet on October 27

Shimla, Oct 26 (UNI) In a bid to finalise the strategy for the battle of polls in Himachal Pradesh, the meeting of the Election Management Committee of BJP would be held on October 27 in the state party office in Shimla.

BJP organisation secretary Manohar Lal, state incharge Sat Pal Jain, joint incharge Om Parkash Dhankhad, BJP state president Jai Ram Thakur, former chief ministers Shanta Kumar and Prem Kumar Dhumal, state organisation secretary Mahender Pandey and other members of the committee would take part in the meeting.

N'DJAMENA, Oct 26 (Reuters) Chad extended a state of emergency in its violent east today, a day after a ceasefire accord signed with rebel groups which President Idriss Deby said was a last chance for peace.
