Bata India Q3 net rises 55.73% at Rs 9.50 cr

New Delhi, Oct 26 (UNI) Bata India Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 9.50 crore for the quarter ended September 2007, as compared to Rs 6.10 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, up by 55.73 per cent.

The company recorded a turnover of Rs 206.6 crore in Q3FY07, a 15.7 per cent increase over the Rs 178.6 crore during Q3FY06.

Bata, the leading footwear maker has a worldwide reach with a retail presence in over 50 countries through 4,600 retail stores that serve one million customers per day. In India, the company has an extensive retail footprint with over 1,200 stores in all major cities and towns.

Politicians hold the key to introduce sex education-experts

Abstain from alcohol during pregnancy: Study

London, Oct 26 (UNI) Neither a small glass of wine a day nor two small glasses once or twice a week, abstain from drinking alcohol completely if you are expecting a child. In an advice, British Medical Journal said alcohol may lead to adverse effects on the long-term health of the foetus. Super healthy chocolate coming soon, thanks to Oz farmers

Sydney, Oct 26 (UNI) Expect a ''super chocolate'' soon on the shelves with all the health benefits as Oz farmers are growing the first commercial cocoa crop to produce the healthiest confection. Australia biotechnology company Horizon Science is growing such plants, which were sowed commercially three years ago, in far north Queensland. This project will produce the first 100 per cent Australian chocolate with low GI sugar and high antioxidants. Antioxidants are-known to have incredible benefits for the cardiovascular.....
