Alchemy Capital Management opens new office

Bangalore, Oct 26 (UNI) Portfolio management company Alchemy Capital Management today opened its office in the city.

In a company release here, Chief Executive Officer K N Vaidyanathan said the city had emerged as a very important business destination for the company. The exponential growth in the IT/BPO space coupled with the growing biotech industry had catapulted income levels of the people here, he said.

The company had delivered returns of 69 per cent Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) over the past five years against a BSE Sensex CAGR of 42 per cent during the period, the release said.

Mumbai, Oct 26: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensitive index today hit an all-time high beyond 19K level, closing with a gain of 472 points at 19,243.17 on select buyings from foreign and domestic funds after the country's stock markets regulator SEBI's move to phase out Participatory notes (PN's). The benchmark Sensex today opened with a marginal gain at 18,770.89 and slipped to the day's low of 18,629.53 during the further trade. Later, it hit the all-time high of 19,276.45 after.....

Asahi India Q2 dips 62.55% at Rs 5.55 cr

New Delhi, Oct 26 (UNI) The net profits of Asahi India Glass Ltd dipped 62.55 per cent at Rs 5.55 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 from Rs 14.82 crore during the same period last fiscal. However, the total revenue has increased 40.75 per cent to Rs 262.19 crore from Rs 186.28 crore in the said period. Russia to launch 5 ballistic missiles by year-end : Commander

Moscow, Oct 26 (UNI) Russia's Strategic Missile Forces (SMF) will launch five inter-continental ballistic missiles (ICBM) by the year end. ''By the end of this year, we will test-launch five missiles, including a RS-18 (SS-19 Stiletto), a RS-12M (SS-25 Sickle), a missile interceptor and a heavy RS-20 (SS-18 Satan),'' SMF commander Gen Nikolai Solovtsov told RIA Novosti news agency today.
