Shiv Sainiks attack Reliance Communications gallery in Nashik

Nashik, Oct 25 (UNI) Furious over Mumbai being shown separate from Maharashtra on the telecom major Reliance Communication's website, irate Shiv Sainiks allegedly attacked and ransacked a company showroom here today.

The Shiv Sainiks, led by metropolitan chief Arjun Tile, first smashed the entrance glass of the showroom situated at Sharanpur road this evening at around 1730 hrs and then ransacked computers and other furniture in the showroom. However, no one was hurt in the incident, as they had asked the employees to vacate the place, police sources said.

The Sainiks were angry over Mumbai being depicted separate from the rest of the state on the company's website. They shouted slogans such as 'Jai Shivaji', 'Mumbai Maharashtra pasoon wegli dakhavinaryacha dhikkar aso' (Shame on those who showed Mumbai separate from Maharashtra).

However, the police have not arrested anyone in this connection nor registered a case against the culprits, sources added.

Meanwhile, Mr Tile said ''More than 100 martyrs have sacrificed their lives for Mumbai's inclusion in Maharashtra during the 'Sanyukta Maharashtra' movement. We will not bear the insult to them.
