JD (S) President warns senior leader Prakash

Bangalore, Oct 25 (UNI) Senior JD(S) leader M P Prakash would attract disciplinary action if he continues his efforts to form Government by joining hands with Congress, JD(S) State President Mirajuddin Patel warned today.

Talking to newspersons, before the commencement of an informal meeting of party Legislators here tonight, he said ''the party will not hesitate to take disciplinary action against former Home Minister Prakash, if he is found wrong or going against the interests of the party.'' Mr Patel said that the party was satisfied with the efforts so far made by Prakash, who had already briefed former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy about his Delhi visit and meeting with Congress leaders there.

Replying a question, on Mr Prakash's commitment to the condition put forward by Congress, that he would keep former Prime Minister and JD(S) National President H D Deve Gowda and his family members out of the new Government to be formed, Mr Patel said that ''if it is found or proved to be true the party would take action immediately.'' On whether he was aware that Mr Prakash was going to Delhi to meet Congress leaders tomorrow, Mr Patel said that he was not aware of it.

About the meeting he said that no political significance should be attached to it as it was only a formal meeting.
