Srinagar, Oct 18: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah today said the Congress-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) coalition government in the state has failed on all fronts. Addressing a hurriedly called news conference here, Dr Abdullah said the coalition government has ''miserably'' failed in delivering goods to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Criticising Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for his statement that many people were against the development of the state, Dr Abdullah said the National Conference (NC) does not believe in hollow sloganeering and making false promises.

''We are not against development. But where is the development? He (Mr Azad) should show us where is the improvement in power sector and which development schemes have brought some relief to the people of the state?'' the NC patron asked.

He said the Centre had given Jammu and Kashmir Rs 5000 crore in addition to the annual plan. ''A lot could be done with that money,'' the former Chief Minister added.

Dr Abdullah said the NC has not upset the coalition government in any development work. ''When new districts were announced, we welcomed the step.

But, what after that announcement? I had remained silent for a long time, but now the water has flown over the head.... fingers are been pointing at us,'' the NC patron added.

Dr Abdullah warned Mr Azad that he should not take the NC for-granted. ''Mr Azad should not think that we are silent and not saying anything. But, if points fingers at us, we will definitely reply back more strongly,'' he added.

Dr Abdullah said his party had nothing to do with neither the Congress nor the PDP. ''Insha Allah (God willing), we will fight the next Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir alone,'' he added.
