'Probe in to Mecca Masjid, Ajmer blast similarities'

Hyderabad, Oct 13: City Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh today said the police was probing the reported similarities between Thursday's Ajmer Sharif Dargah blast and the May 18 explosions in Mecca Masjid here.

''There are some similarities and all things are being probed,'' Mr Singh told reporters here.

When asked about reports which said similar explosives (packed in lunchboxes) were used (in both the incidents) and SIM cards found at the blast sites, he said ''it is not good to comment on the matter without full details.'' Meanwhile, a police team from Rajasthan headed by a DIG reached here today to look into the city's possible 'links' with the Ajmer incident.

The Commissioner said the police had no details on the alleged role of Syed Saleem, belonging to Hyderabad, who died in the Ajmer Blast.

The city police sent a team to Saleem's house at Tolichowki city to confirm his identity.

Meanwhile, his body was buried by his family members today.

Saleem was the eldest of seven brothers and has two sons and a daughter.
