Fire in Income Tax office

New Delhi, Oct. 6 2007: MA major fire broke out in a multi-storied building housing an income tax office in the heart of New Delhi today.

There were no casualties though a large number of documents were destroyed in the fire that happened early in the morning at around 5 a.m. Forty fire engines were rushed to the spot to tame the blaze that quickly spread up to several floors. The nine-storied building houses a number of government and private offices.

'No decision on to extend CAS to more cities'

TataSky in Delhi HC on Sun's denial to share feed

New Delhi, Feb 26: Direct-To-Home satellite TV operator TataSky has approached the Delhi High Court, seeking directions to broadcaster Sun TV to share its feed. In its petition, TataSky has alleged that Sun TV was violating the regulations of broadcast regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.Senior officials at TRAI said, "As per section 3.2 of TRAI regulations, no broadcaster can deny signals to any DTH operator or service provider. If anyone denies it, he will be taken to court.".....
