TNEB regulating power supply due to problems

Chennai, Oct 9 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) today said it was regulating power supply due to problems experienced at its thermal power stations and shortage in wind power generation.

A TNEB release here this evening said thermal power generation at Turicorin, Ennore and North Chennai and Neyveli Lignite Corporation was hit due to forced outages of the machines.

Further, there was a 1,000 MW shortage in wind power generation leading to an overall reduced availability of 1,000 MW in Tamil Nadu.

The release said TNEB expected the situation to improve in a day or two.

'India to decide time-frame to finalize N-deal'

United Nations, Oct 10: The UN Security Council has expressed ''disappointment'' over the delay in Constituent Assembly polls in Nepal. Gaza, Oct 10: Palestinian student Khaled al-Mudallal arrived home to Gaza on a mission: marry his fiancee Duaa then spirit her back to Britain where he would complete his university degree.
