Seaways Group inducts one more vessel

Hyderabad, Oct 9 (UNI) Hyderabad-based Seaways Group has included Port Colombo in its East Coast India, Bangladesh and South East Asia loop besides inducting one more vessel to its fleet.

The new vessel will enable Seaways to deploy additional tonnage to cover the Colombo-East Coast India and connect the existing service besides gaining strong control on cargoes originating in this sector a company release here today said.

Rs 6,380 crore development plan for Tuticorin Port

Tuticorin, Oct 9 (UNI) The Tuticorin Port Administration has chalked out elaborate plans to develop the port at an estimated cost of Rs 6,380 crore during the eleventh plan period. According to official sources here today, the proposal was to develop Inner and Outer harbour to enable the port to handle the projected cargo traffic of 78.10 million tonnes during 2011-12. Students demand special status for Hyderabad-Karnataka Region
