MP Govt misusing central funds: Pachouri

Narsinghpur, MP, Oct 9 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Personnel Suresh Pachouri has alleged that the Madhya Pradesh government was misusing central funds.

Mr Pachouri, addressing a Congress training camp at Kareli here last evening, called upon party workers to expose failures of the government.

He claimed that the government was not using central funds for basic schemes.

Advocating the Indo-US nuclear deal, Mr Pachouri said the deal aimed at increasing power generation, so that more power would be available for peasants.

He said the previous NDA Government had only allotted Rs 1,773 crore to Madhya Pradesh. However, the UPA Government had provided Rs 4,376 crore to this government so far.

The Congress leader alleged that farmers were getting low quality-seeds, while condition of roads was pathetic.

Mr Pachouri urged party workers to shun factionalism and get involved in election campaigning.

Former MPs Balkavi Bairagi and Rameshwar Neekhra and former minister N P Prajapati also addressed the programme.
