MoU signed for off-campus PG mental health courses

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 9 (UNI) The city-based Athma Institute of Mental Health and Social Science (AIMMS) has signed an MoU with Bharathidasan University for offering off-campus post-graduate diploma courses in mental health and social science.

Informing this to newspersons here today, Athma Group Director K Ramakrishnan said the move was aimed at helping qualified psychiatrists, professional counsellors and trained social workers in their humanitarian works.

An eminent consultant psychiatrist Dr Ramakrishnan said three full-time PG courses-- counselling and guidance, child and adolescent psychology and organisational psychology-- would begin by the end of this month.
