JD(S) betrayed the people by allying with BJP: CPM

Gulbarga, Oct 9 (UNI) CPI(M) State Secretary G N Nagaraj today said that former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy did the right thing by refusing to hand over the power to the BJP and saved the state from going into the hands of 'communal forces'.

Speaking to media persons here he however said that the Janata Dal(S) had betrayed the people of the state by giving up its secular image and allying with a communal party like the BJP. This had resulted in the party losing the trust of the people, he said.

The party should now try to resurrect its secular credentials, he said.

CBI files chargesheet against 22 in IPO scam

New Delhi, Oct 9 (UNI) The CBI has filed a chargesheet in Mumbai against 22 people and entities involved in the IPO scam in which two criminal cases were filed in 2006. Govt to bring statutory warnings, guidelines for junk food
