ICICI Bank awarded Regional Private Bank(Asia-Pacific)

Kolkata, Oct 9 (UNI) ICICI Bank has been conferred the 'Outstanding Regional Private Bank (Asia-Pacific)' award by Private Banker International at the just concluded 17th Private Banker International Wealth Management Summit in Singapore.

Announcing this here today, Mr Anup Bagchi, Head-Global Private Banking, ICICI Bank, said this was the first Indian bank to get this award.

'' The award validates strategies and products that ICICI Private Banking offers to its High Networth Individual (HNI) customers and the continued faith they have in us,'' Mr Bagchi said.

'' Being a financial super-house in India with undisputed leadership in wealth management, retail banking etc, ICICI Bank has also successfully developed global capabilities in offering a wide range of banking financial solutions from our offshore offices which span 18 countries,'' he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr John Evans, Managing Editor, Private Banker International, said ICICI Bank was one of the few banks in Asia that was taking the fight to the Western home markets of the big guns of global wealth management.

'' It has a growing international network in Europe, North America and the Middle East, a great machine for attracting NRI money and is strength in-depth when it comes to creating a domestic wealth franchise,'' Mr Evans observed.

Uttarakhand highest grosser among Postal Departments

Dehradun, Oct 9 (UNI) Uttarakhand is the highest grosser among the Postal Department in the country with a total revenue of Rs 68.5 crore this year. JD(S) betrayed people by allying with BJP: CPI(M)

Gulbarga, Oct 9 (UNI) CPI(M) Karnataka unit Secretary G N Nagaraj today said former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy did the right thing by refusing to hand over power to the BJP and saved the State from 'communal forces'. Youth League demands Kerala Minister's expulsion

Kozhikode, Oct 9 (UNI) The pro-IUML Kerala State Muslim Youth League (KSMYL) today demanded the expulsion of State Finance Minister T M Thomas Issac from the Cabinet for his alleged links with ''agents of imperialism''.
