Pune, Oct 9 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has been active in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
It has been subdued in Orissa, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at many places in West Bengal and Sikkim. Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Bihar, Kerala, and at a few places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Marathwada and Telangana.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan and were below normal in some parts of Uttaranchal. They were above normal in some parts of Gujarat.
