ebm-Nadi launches production line, warehouse

Chennai, Oct 9 (UNI) As part of its expansion plans, ebm-Nadi International Private Limited, an Indo-German JV firm, leader in manufacturing instrument cooling fans, today launched its new production line and a new warehouse facility having a capacity to house 1,000 pallets, to achieve its targetted sales turnover of Rs 200 crore by 2010-11.

Talking to newspersons here, the company Managing Director J B Kamdar and ebm-papst Group, Germany CEO Hans-Jochen Beilke said the facility had an investment of about one million euros.

''With a 300 per cent growth in business over the last three years, it became necessary to further expand the plant capacity and infrastructure. The existing facilities produce 600 axial fans per day and the new production line will produce another 200 radial fans per day, which were specifically used in the telecom industry as well as the panel air-conditioners and heat exchanger industry,'' they said.

Describing India as an important, fast growing and technology driven market, he said the company would invest another five million euros (Rs 28 crore) in additional land, building and machinery by 2010 to achieve the targetted sales turnover.

The company's growth was buoyant as it sales revenue increased from Rs 42 crore in 2006-07 fiscal to Rs 55 crore by September this year, they said and added that the company was bullish about its targetted turnover of Rs 85 crore for the current fiscal.

They said after the telecom sector, there would be a boom in refrigeration and cold storage systems, which required larger fans and the company would take all steps to meet this growing segment.

Punjab re-allocates jurisdiction of urban authorities

Chandigarh, Oct 9 (UNI) The Punjab Government today notified the jurisdiction of various urban authorities and also notified the jurisdiction of Chief Administrators of these urban authorities. According to an official spokesman Chief Administrator, Greater Mohali Development Authority (GMADA) would have jurisdiction on area falling within the jurisdiction of GMADA. India, Singapore Sign Pact on Joint Air Exercises and Training
