BCCI secretary Shah cautions Vengsarkar Rajput

Rajkot, Oct 9 (UNI) BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah today cautioned Chairman of the Selection committee Dilip Vengsarkar on making statements to the media about senior players and Team India manager Lalchand Rajput for reacting to them.

Both should not have made any observations to the media during the ongoing One-dayers against Australia'', Shah told UNI here.

Welcoming the rotation policy, Shah said inclusion of all rounder S Badrinath for the next two matches against Australia, in place of the injured Gautam Gambhir, was due to his recent performances for India A in the test against South Africa, 'A' where he scored a double century.

He said more and more players are performing well and they automatically come into the reckoning. Parthiv Patel, Mohammad Kaif, Suresh Raina and Munaf Patel are doing well. ''The second line of yougsters are ready and as per the rotation policy, their chances are bright'', Shah said.
