Pt Jitendra Abhisheki Sangeet Mahotsav in Goa from Oct 13

Panaji, Oct 8 (UNI) The two-day 4th annual Pt Jitendra Abhisehki Sangeet Mahotsav will be held at the Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Kala Academy, here beginning October 13.

Kala Academy vice chairman Jitendra Deshprahu and Tarangani Foundation chief trustee Shaunak Abhisheki told a joint press conference that sixteen renowned musical artistes will perform during the two days.

Among those who will perform are Gwalior Gharana exponent Malini Rajurkar, Hindustani classical music vocalists Anant Terdal and Madhup Mudgal, Pt Raja Kale, Balkrishna Kelkar, Aparna Gurav, Pt Bhavani Shankar Kathak, Rupesh Gawas, Hemang Mehta, Bishwajit Roy Chowdhury, Rakesh Chaurasia, Sanjeev Chimmalgi, Shashank Maktedar, Uday Bhavalkar and Sudhakar Gopal Deoley.

The event has been jointly organised by Tarangani Foundation, Kala Academy Goa and Department of Art and Culture.

CM for transperancy in preparing Regional Plan-2021

Panaji, Oct 8 (UNI) Reiterating his commitment for transperancy in administration, Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today asserted that the special task force, headed by him, would work for guiding the government in preparation of a comprehensive Regional Plan-2021. Mah Govt sanctions special financial assistance to rice producers

Mumbai, Oct 8 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has sanctioned Rs 142.70 crore as special assistance to rice-growing farmers of the state for the year 2006-07. Under this, the government would give Rs 1,000 per hectare and maximum upto two hectares to them. Of the sanctioned fund, Rs 50 crore was sanctioned from contingency fund on June 22. Now, the government has given an approval to disburse the balance fund of Rs 92.70 crore. UNI.....
