Midterm poll following differences between Left and Cong-Nitish

Patna, Oct 8 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said a mid-term poll was imminent following internal bickerings among UPA partners and differences precipitated between the Congress and Left.

Mr Kumar told newspersons here that the UPA government at the Centre would be solely responsible for the mid-term poll, which was actually knocking at the doors.

He said the poll would be considered a political failure of the UPA, which failed to adher to the common minimum programme.

He said the UPA would be washed away in the mid-term poll, adding the majority were against the 123 nuke deal with the US.

Mr Kumar referred to the import of wheat at an exhorbitant rate and said such issues would be decided in the people's court.

Chennai, Oct 8 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) Tamil Nadu unit today welcomed the state government's Ordinance on removal of Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the urban local bodies through no confidence motion. Local body polls stimulate another Govt fall in Karnataka

Bangalore, Oct 8 (UNI) The Karnataka local body elections have stimulated the fall of two governments in the state in a span of 40 months.
