New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) Following the Delhi High Court seeking reply from the Delhi police and State Government on yesterday's horrific incident of a Blueline bus running over 17 bystanders near Badarpur, killing eight persons and injuring nine, the Delhi Government today held discussions on the status report, to be submitted to the court on Thursday.

At a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and attended by state Transport minister Haroon Yousuf and senior officers of the transport department, deliberations were held on the reply to be given to the court, a Delhi Government spokesperson said.

A Division Bench of the High court today sought replies from the Delhi Police and Delhi Government on certain matters pertaining to operation of Blueline buses in the city.

A bench of Justices Mukul Mudgal and Reva Khetrapal sought a list from the Delhi Government with the name of drivers and buses they were attached with.

The Court also sought explanation from the NCT government on subletting system of buses.

The court also sought replies from the police and Manish Kakkar, the bus owner, as to why action would not be taken against him under IPC for the mishap.

The Bench also asked D P Verma, DCP traffic, who was present in the court, to look into whether the Blueline bus on route no-460 had violated the Supreme Court's previous directions, including of not overtaking other buses.
