Ancient 'ashtdhatu' cannon found

Morena, MP, Oct 8 (UNI) An ancient 'ashtdhatu' cannon, weighing about 1.5 kg, has been recovered from forest near this district, police said.

Sub-Divisional Officer of Police Rajesh Mishra said policemen were chasing a jeep, which was fleeing after hitting a bicycle-rider last evening, when the passengers threw the cannon near Rajghat bridge and fled leaving the jeep behind. A bloodstained rod was seized from the jeep.

Varanasi, Oct 8 (UNI) Two tourists allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents here today. Collector orders magisterial inquiry

Machilipatnam, Oct 8 (UNI) Krishna District Collector Navin Mittal has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the death of a man at Excise Police Station in Thiruvuru this evening.
