3rd Bank Tech summit on Oct 10

Mumbai, Oct 8 (UNI) Banknet's third International Bank Tech Summit on 'Empowering Banks through Technology' will be organized on October 10 here.

The Summit will have nearly 250 participants from major banks, insurance companies, FIs and IT companies from more than 10 countries.

Participants attending the conference will gain greatly through information sharing, interaction and exchange of views with industry experts and network with decision makers to expand business relationships and opportunities, a press release issued here today said.

The day-long summit will delve on issues like implementing and managing technology, role of IT in managing risks and frauds, technology and multi-channel strategies, IT as an enabler for customer relationships.

Risk management, financial frauds, anti-money laundering, internet and mobile banking, ATMs, cards, data mining and warehousing, disaster recovery, information security, core banking, outsourcing are prominent among the topics which will come up for discussion.

The summit will be addressed by more than 20 prominent speakers from major banks and IT companies, the release added.

Yechury invites Deve Gowda to join

New Delhi, Oct. 6, 2007 : While inaugurating the STFI National Convention on Education at New Delhi today, the Politburo member of CPIM Sitaram Yechury raised his party's ante against Nuke deal and also invited Janata Dal (S) leader Deve Gowda to join the Left Front and form a coalition. CM for transperancy in preparing Regional Plan-2021

Panaji, Oct 8 (UNI) Reiterating his commitment for transperancy in administration, Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today asserted that the special task force, headed by him, would work for guiding the government in preparation of a comprehensive Regional Plan-2021. The erstwhile government, headed by Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane, had scrapped the controversial Regional Plan-2011, following an uproar by the public and NGOs under the banner -- Goa Bachao Abhiyan.
