Varanasi, Oct 8 (UNI) Two tourists allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents here today.
Jai Prakash Singh (40) of Buxar in Bihar, was involved into road contracts buisness at the neighbouring Sonebhadra district and had booked a room at a hotel in Parade Kothi area on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses at the Hotel said that there were no signs from him after Sunday morning, when he had called up for tea.
On suspicion, the hotel staff called up the Sigra Police Station.
Sunil was found hanging from the ceiling fan after the cops broke into the room.
Police contacted his wife through the address written in the hotel register. She said he was mentally upset due to regular losses and economical crisis and might have committed suicide out of anxiety .
In a similar incident, Sushant Bhattacharya (45), a resident of Guwahati, boarded at a lodge at Manmandir area here on Saturday evening. He hanged committed suicide by hanging self from the ceiling fan.
The bodies had been sent for autopsy.
