Tikshan Sud calls on Vasundhra Raje

Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) Medical Education and Research Minister Tikshan Sud today called on Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje at Jaipur.

During the meeting, Mr Sud informed the Rajasthan Chief Minister that Punjab Government was setting up Ayush University in Hoshiarpur on the lines of Ayurvedic University at Jodhpur.

He said that he, along with a delegation from Punjab, had visited Ayurvedic University at Jodhpur to get first hand knowledge about its functioning.

The Medical Education Minister appreciated the Public-private model of Health Services in Rajasthan.

The Rajasthan Chief Minister gave an overview of various plans of Rajasthan Government in Health and Medical Education Sector.

Prominent among those who were present in the meeting included Medical Education Secretary Jagjit Puri and Ayush Chairman Kuldeep Singh.

SC restrains Modi govt from giving ownership rights to tribals

New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) Dealing a severe blow to the attempt of the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to woo tribals ahead of the assembly elections in the state, the Supreme Court has restrained his goverment from giving ownership rights to the tribals of forest land.
